Dates for 2025/26:
Cohort 1 - Thursday, 27th November at Collyer's: "Personal Survival and Making Learning Work" - aimed at first year trainee teachers and new first year teachers with a professional qualification that does not apply to the ECTE programme.
This one-day programme of training includes a practical introduction to emotional resilience, how to structure your lessons, dealing with assessment and feedback, and how to effectively help students to learn outside of the classroom.
Cohort 2 - Thursday, 12th March at Godalming College: "Making Learning Better and Reflecting on the Bigger Picture" - aimed at second year trainee teachers and second year teachers with a professional qualification that does not apply to the ECTE programme.
This one-day programme of training includes an understanding of how to recognise and meet the welfare and learning support needs of students, a dive into understanding teenage behaviour and a look at cultivating the developmental mindset. The training day culminates in an overview of new developments in the educational and sixth form sector to give you a wider perspective of the current educational picture.
